
Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,277,068,155 for the month of June 2022, a gain of 8.06 percent over the same period in 2021. The South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos didn’t fare as well as their “win” was down 28.75 percent over the same period with their gaming revenue of $22,218,554, according to the State’s monthly gaming revenue report.
Last month’s report showed over $17.5M in gaming revenue on the South Shore and $1.3B for the state of Nevada. The South Shore was down 13.69 percent when compared to the previous year in May.
A strong showing on the Las Vegas Strip put the state up as many areas, like the South Shore, were down in June 2022. Revenues at casinos on the strip were $734,780,500, up 22.7 percent over last year.
North Lake Tahoe casinos saw an 11.4 percent gain in the “win” with their reported $2,826,802.
The “gaming win” represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
Carson City and the Carson Valley’s win was $11,224,413, up 1.52 percent from June 2021.
Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County saw gaming-related revenue in the negative, with Sparks down 10.06 percent, Reno, down 4.84 percent, and the county as a whole, down 3.15 percent.
The State has collected $71,230,474 in percentage fees to date in the new fiscal year, a drop of over 22 percent.
