Fanny Bridge Tahoe City

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Caltrans is advising motorists of various lane closures next week due to multiple construction projects in the Lake Tahoe region.

Along State Route 28 (SR28) in Placer County, drainage and electrical work continue in preparation for a $31.7 million Caltrans pavement project.

In Tahoe City along SR 28, work is scheduled around the clock from Sunday, August 3 at 7 p.m. through Friday, August 8 at 7 a.m. between Mackinaw Road and Jackpine Street.

The paving portion of this project in Tahoe City is scheduled to begin Sunday evening, August 10. Specific locations will be announced on Friday, August 8.

Fanny Bridge in Tahoe City will be closed to traffic Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8 from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. in preparation of the Fanny Bridge Replacement Project.

In addition, tree work is scheduled along SR 28 with one-way traffic control in effect Monday, August 4 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. between Dollar Drive and Chinquapin Drive.

Along State Route 89 in Placer County, tree work is scheduled with one-way traffic control in effect Wednesday, August 6, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. between the Caltrans Tahoe City Maintenance Station and Rampart Drive. The tree work continues on Thursday, August 7, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. between Olympic Valley Road and Rampart Drive.
