SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society (LTHS) for its final Tahoe History Talks on the Beach event for the summer. This week, local urbanized black bear expert Toogee Sielsch will speak to attendees about the history of the bears at the lake, their habits, and how to be a more responsible human in their environment.
The talk will be held at Lakeview Commons on Tuesday, August 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Members of Girl Scout Troop 119 will also be present. They worked with Toogee and Leaona Allen of Team BEAR on creating messaging for tourists on how to coexist with bears while at Lake Tahoe.
The talks are free, but donations to LTHS are appreciated.
