LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) responded to a report of a possible drowning at Meeks Bay on August 5th, 2025, at approximately 2:42 p.m.
When the deputies arrived, they located a male adult who was deceased despite first aid attempts to save his life.
The deceased was a 53-year-old male who was visiting the Lake Tahoe area from out of the country. The cause of the death was listed as drowning by the EDSO Coroner’s Division.
