SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge is holding its 21st annual Kids’ Fishing Day at Lake Baron on Saturday, September 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s event will be held in honor of Giada Lancellotti, the South Lake Tahoe 13-year-old who died after being hit by a car on her way to fishing at another derby held at Sawmill Pond.

The Lodge will be planting the lake with hundreds of pounds of catchable trout! Fishing poles, tackle, and bait are provided, or bring your own. The Lodge supports the lake’s catch-and-release program, encouraging each child to catch and release as many trout as they can, and keep only two.

Registered children will be eligible to win one of three savings certificates and a fish fry dinner from MacDuffs! Each registered child will also receive a raffle ticket to select a prize from a large selection of toys and games. There are prizes for every child!

There will be free hot dogs, chips, soda and water for registered children.

Registration begins at Lake Baron at 8 a.m. The event ends at 2 p.m.

Lake Baron at Tahoe Paradise Park is located at 1011 East San Bernardino Avenue, South Lake Tahoe. There will be free parking for the event.
