LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. – The Tahoe Fund is teaming up with the Restoring the Lake Depths Foundation to bring the public a first-ever live stream from the bottom of Lake Tahoe! Featuring “Deep Emerald,” a state-of-the-art remotely operated vehicle (ROV) custom-designed by Mission Robotics.

Equipped with a 4K Ultra HD camera and a precision navigation system, Deep Emerald will reveal scenes from 1,570 feet below the surface of the Lake, a place few have ever seen.

Come along for the ride as Tim Crandle, President of SeaView Systems, shares more about the cutting-edge technology that made this journey possible, and Sudeep Chandra, Foundation Professor of Limnology at the  University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Institute for Global Sustainability, unpacks the secrets of why Tahoe’s famed waters are so clear.

Join the first-ever livestream from the bottom of Lake Tahoe and experience this special place from an entirely new perspective.
