SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Bread & Broth has announced an additional kids’ food bag giveaway day on Wednesday, September 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Bread & Broth 4 Kids (BB4K) has given out weekly food bags to South Lake Tahoe youth all summer, and ended that program a week before the school year was slated to start. With smoke and subsequent evacuation, school isn’t starting until Thursday, so the nonprofit, whose focus is feeding food insecure locals, added this additional day.

Children up to the age of 18 are invited to stop by Grace Hall and get a bag of food. Only kids can pick up the food.

Once the school year is underway, BB4K will provide weekend bags of food to qualifying students of Lake Tahoe Unified School District. The District has announced that all school breakfasts and lunches for all students will be available at no charge.

Grace Hall is located on the corner of Lyon Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard at St. Theresa Church. The address is 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe.

Bread & Broth provides food twice a week to families and individuals in need. Due to COVID there is no hot meals, but each person receives bags of food based on their household size. Those days are Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
