SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) is considering updates to Routes 50 and 55 in South Lake Tahoe, intending to make riding the bus easier, more reliable, and better connected. The proposed changes focus on improving frequency on busy routes, reducing wait times, and strengthening connections between key stops so that residents, workers, and visitors can count on transit to better serve their daily needs.
There are two possible options:
Option 2/2: Two Buses on Route 50 & Two Buses on Route 55
Option 3/1: Three Buses on Route 50 & One Bus on Route 55
Community members are encouraged to provide input during the public hearing period before any changes take effect. Comments may be submitted by email to planning@tahoetransportation.org by November 5, 2025.
