As I write this letter of gratitude, we want to thank so many people. First, we must thank our County Supervisor, Brooke Laine, for her enduring tenacity every year in ensuring we have golf carts and security for our parade. Jeanette Riva, thank you for reaching out to the community and getting our convertible cars for our royalty and for our admin to ride in for our parade. Without these two women, we would be overwhelmed and South Tahoe High School (STHS) would be unable to have such a successful parade. Thank you both so much.

Thank you, STHS ASB Leadership and the Event Planning students, your hard work has paid off. These students are indeed the leaders of our school. Without them, we would not have such a fantastic Homecoming Week.

STHS also would like to thank Lake Tahoe Golf Course for providing us with golf carts for our security team to use during the parade

Thank you South Lake Tahoe Police Department for providing traffic and safety plans, stopping traffic, and supporting us.

Thank you to, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue, South Tahoe Public Utility District, Liberty Energy, Ferguson Excavating, Ever After Productions, Barton Memorial Hospital, Lake Tahoe Community College, South Tahoe Refuse, and Lake Tahoe Transit.

We cannot forget the Forest Service for allowing Smokey Bear to make his famous appearance.

Thank you, Kylee Finnegan, for bringing the dance and cheer students and the flag football team to the parade.

Thank you, future Vikings, for participating in this year’s parade. We enjoyed seeing you and having you as part of us.

Last, STHS would like to thank STHS School Drumline. They were terrific, and they brought the spirit to our parade.

With planning such a big event, STHS cannot thank enough the LTUSD bus department for saving the day when we needed a bus to pick up anyone who needed a ride throughout the parade or a ride back to the bus garage to pick up a vehicle.

A special thank you goes out to Magic Carpet Mini Golf Course for allowing us to use their parking lot for staging during our parade.

Wow, just wow what amazing community participation and support we have in South Lake Tahoe!

Yours truly,
Liz Ferguson
