Rock Legend Robin Trower electrified Harrah’s Tahoe South Shore
Room on Friday, September 26. Trower is currently on an extensive
tour of the United States, sharing his latest album, “Come and
Find Me” with Richard Watts on vocals and bass, and Chris Taggart
on drums.
He opened up the evening with a few favorites from his past albums.
Robin Trower has been playing his magical guitar for more than six
decades to people worldwide, and on tour again at the age of 80! He
started the night off with “Confession-Midnight”, “Lady Love”,
“Somebody Calling”, before playing a crowd favorite “Bridge of
Sighs” and “Shame the Devil.”
Trower was the driving force behind the 1960s band, Procol Harum,
and a transatlantic solo star ever since, especially in 1974 with his
biggest hit, “Bridge of Sighs.” He played a few tunes from his latest
album, “Come and Find Me,” as Trower showed everyone in the room
that he had not lost the magic with his custom-made, beautiful Fender Stratocaster. This was a sit-down show, and everyone was so interested in hearing every note he played; most people stood up to give him a standing ovation after every song.
They finished up the show with two more fan favorites from the past!
“Rise Up Like the Sun” and “Not Inside-Outside” got the entire
showroom on its feet dancing. You could tell that Robin Trower was
very happy to be playing music for us all, as he said goodnight.
I want to thank Harrah’s Tahoe for always bringing the best music to
their showroom! And, thank you to the amazing photographer
Conrad Buedel for the photos in this article!
