On a warm and sun-splashed Saturday in early July, 100 pickleball players gathered at Tahoe Paradise Park in Meyers for the second annual Pinkleball in Paradise tournament.
This spirited fundraiser is dedicated to raising money for local and national cancer support and research organizations, with an emphasis on breast cancer organizations. This year’s event set a record fundraising total of $17,352.
From this, $10,411 was donated to the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation. Another $6,941 was donated to METAvivor, an organization dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Special thanks to Lake Tahoe Golf Course, in conjunction with the American Golf Foundation, for their generous philanthropic efforts.
The third annual Pinkleball in Paradise tournament will be held at Tahoe Paradise Park on July 5, 2025. Registration begins shortly after the New Year. For detailed information, start watching pickleballbrackets.com at that time.
