SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – California voters will decide on Proposition 50, a legislatively referred constitutional amendment concerning congressional redistricting, during a special statewide election on November 4. Many local jurisdictions will also have their own measures and races on the ballot, though in South Lake Tahoe, it is just Prop. 50. Some areas of the west slope of El Dorado County have a director or measures to vote on in their districts.
Ballots have been mailed out, and if you did not receive one, there is a Vote Center open at Lake Tahoe Community College each day, or you can call or email the El Dorado County Elections Department by Tuesday.
The Young Democrats Committee at LTCC will be on campus two more times to educate students on how to register and vote. They held a big registration event last week on campus. Club members will be encouraging students to get to the polls between October 25 and November 4:
- Monday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Monday, November 3, from 9 a.m. to 0 p.m.
Ballots can be put in the mail, dropped in a special Drop Box, or dropped at a Vote Center. People may also vote in person at a Vote Center. To check on what vote center or drop box is located near you in El Dorado County, visit HERE.
Drop Boxes will close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day
