As reported in South Tahoe Now, a 36-year-old visitor to South Lake Tahoe was walking to a restaurant near Stateline on October 10, 2015 when she was approached by a man who simulated a gun and ordered her to come with him.
At about 9:30 a.m., the woman was near the intersection of Cedar and Park Avenues when the suspect, a young light skinned male on a bicycle and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, had turned around to follow her. A few moments later, the suspect abandoned his bicycle and approached the victim on foot. He motioned with his hand in his jacket pocket giving the woman the impression he had a gun, though the weapon was never displayed, even after he repeated his demands. The victim ran away from the area and called the police from a nearby motel.
After the victim returned to her home, South Lake Tahoe detectives were able to coordinate a composite sketch artist to meet with her.
