SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society on Wednesday, October 29 for Tahoe History Talks at the Museum Complex from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Ride with them back to those golden days of yesteryear, when Ben, Adam, Hoss and Little Joe stood for honesty, decency – and owned about one-third of the Lake Tahoe Basin (at least according to the TV plotline!).
Using seldom-seen images and extensive research, local authors and historians, David and Gayle Woodruff, bring the Cartwrights and their socially edge-cutting ways back to life in an informative, amusing, and entertaining 55-minute slideshow presentation…plus… a surprise ending!
The history museum complex is located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
History Talks are free; however, donations are appreciated. The programs are suitable for all ages.
The first few minutes of the program will be the group’s Fall General Membership Meeting with the election of Officers for the period of January 1 to December 31, 2026.
The History Museum will be open after the presentation from 7:00 to 8:00 pm to become a member, renew memberships, and tour the museum. Books, merchandise, and photos will be on sale, and memberships come with a discount that can be used that evening.
