SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Heavenly Village has released its holiday schedule for the upcoming season, November 25 to December 31. The Gin Blossoms will highlight the New Year’s Eve celebration on the outdoor stage, and the month will feature a community Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, Breakfast With Santa, a rail jam, characters on ice, photos with Santa and Mrs. Santa, paint and sip, and lots more.

HEAVENLY VILLAGE COMMUNITY TREE LIGHTING
Daily at 6:30 pm, beginning November 25
Admission: Free
Location: Base of the Gondola
Gather ‘round as Santa lights our monstrous 70-foot, highly lighted, freshly cut tree! The kickoff ceremony will include caroling, music, and fun for all! Tree lightings are daily at 5:30 pm with Santa after November 25. A coffee cart will be provided.

This year is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Heavenly Village. Congressman Kiley has been invited along with El Dorado County Sheriff Jeff Leika, and City of South Lake Tahoe Fire Chief Jim Drennan.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
December 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th. Seating from 8am – 9am.
Admission Kids $15. Adults $20
Location: Fire and Ice Restaurant
Photos and access to Mrs. Claus and Santa are included with the purchase of an interactive breakfast at Fire and Ice Restaurant, located in the Heavenly Village.

Seeing is believing! Bring the whole family to mingle with Santa, take photos, and enjoy one of the heartiest breakfasts the village has to offer!

HOLIDAY SANTA PAWS AND YAPPY HOUR
December 3 & 10, 3 pm – 5 pm Admission: FREE
Location: Fire and Ice Restaurant
Santa photos and treats with your favorite pet. Warm up with a hot toddy or hot cocoa at Fire and Ice restaurant in the Heavenly Village.

HOLIDAY FACE PAINTING
December 27-31, 4 pm-7 pm Cost: Varies
Location: Breezeway by Base Camp Pizza
Are you on vacation and missing your family dog? Have you always dreamed of being a pet dragon? What about a Viking hat? Not to worry! The face paint artist has you covered! She will be set up in the Heavenly Village. Bring your artistic imagination to life!

YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS RETURN TO HEAVENLY HOLIDAYS
Every Saturday in December, and daily December 26-31, 3 pm – 7 pm
Location: Ice Rink Area
Take photos with your favorite characters; Snow White, Frozen, Paw Patrol, and more! They will be at the rink possibly ice skating and roaming the village to meet you.

VISIT LAKE TAHOE BUILD A BEAR

Kids get ready!!! Build a bear is back!!! Build your own teddy bear in the Heavenly Village. Take a little piece of Heavenly Holidays home with you.

THE TOYOTA RAIL JAM

The rail jam will feature both professional and amateur riders, as well as kids. Experience all the fun for the whole family and skiing and riding like you would see on the mountain right in the Heavenly Village. Brought to you by Toyota.

VILLAGE ICE SCULPTURE CONTEST
December 26, 11 am – 7 pm Admission: FREE
Location: Interior of the Heavenly Village
Local ice sculptors put their carving tools to the test. This multi-block competition will create beauty with multiple standard blocks of ice. The winner receives $500 to be donated to a charity of their choice.

HEAVENLY WINTER FILM STREAM FESTIVAL ON OUTDOOR BIG SCREEN
December 29-30, 6:30 pm Admission: FREE
Location: Big Tree
It’s time to get hyped for the upcoming ski & ride season. Find your stoke at the outdoor pop-up big screen on December 29 & 30 that will screen ski and snowboard movies for 2 days in the village. Films by Teton Gravity Research, SteepMotion Films, Brad Holmes, Wondercamp, and local filmmakers.

THE VISIT LAKE TAHOE FERRIS WHEEL
December 26 – 31, 11 am – 9 pm Admission: $5
Location; Base of the Heavenly Gondola
Enjoy the most spectacular views of the lake by day. By night, enjoy Heavenly Village twinkling with tons of lights. The photo opportunities are unrivaled, except by the memories made upon our gigantic Ferris wheel. It will be hard to miss and will be located just west of the Christmas tree.

THE HEAVENLY VILLAGE HOLIDAY SIP & SHOP
December 17, 1 pm Admission: $30 charity donation.
Location: Village Breezeway by Base Camp Pizza
Sample some great wines and complete your last-minute Christmas shopping. Each participating shop in the village will be pouring wines from various vineyards around the world. A commemorative glass and wristband can be purchased for $30.

PHOTOS WITH SANTA & MRS CLAUS
Throughout December, 5 pm – 9 pm Admission: FREE
Location: Breezeway by Base Camp Pizza
Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in their Tahoe winterscape! They will be available to meet and greet, as well as take photos with children of all ages.

HOLIDAY PAINT & SIP
December 10-17, 5 pm Admission: $50
Location: Bottom of Heavenly Gondola
Fun for the entire family. Paint like a master. At Heavenly Holidays, you can! A professional instructor provides all materials to paint a unique Heavenly Holidays painting. (Must be 21 in order to SIP) NOTE: Weather Dependent.

An American alternative rock band who rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. “Hey Jealousy” became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. The band’s follow-up album, Congratulations I’m Sorry, went platinum and the single “As Long as It Matters” was nominated for a Grammy Award.
