SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – In the spirit of giving back and helping worthwhile organizations, the Republican Women of California, South Lake Tahoe (RWC-SLT) made their annual charitable donations for 2025 as follows:

  • $1,000 to SLT’s American Legion Post #795.  RWC-SLT is pleased to make this donation to such a worthy organization.  SLT’s local American Legion Post #795 does incredible good works for our local community and our Veterans.

The American Legion’s mission statement, as adopted by the National Executive Committee in October 2020, is:  To enhance the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

Among American Legion members, there is no rank or prejudice, only purpose. A veteran is a veteran. And the purpose of veterans in The American Legion is to strengthen the United States of America through programs, services, compassion, and actions that have proven vital, timeless and life-changing for over a century.

  • $1,000 to Tunnel to Towers.  The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller and all first responders and military personnel by supporting their families and ensuring America never forgets 9/11. They achieve this by providing mortgage-free homes to fallen first responder families with young children, building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and working to eradicate veteran homelessness.
  • $1,000 to Turning Point USA.  TPUSA mission is “to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government“. TPUSA is a nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses.  It was founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk and Bill Montgomery.

“We are honored to give back to these worthwhile organizations,” said Karen Imhoff, president.  “We are excited to help and be a part of these important organizations and we are proud to contribute.

RWC-SLT meets most months on the second Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  For more information, please email us at:  sltrepublicanwomenofca@gmail.com.
