UPDATE: All power has been restored.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Both Liberty and NV Energy are reporting power outages on the South Shore, with 2,406 NV Energy customers without power, along with 2,334 Liberty customers.
Both outages were reported at 4:44 p.m. Friday.
At this time, the cause has not been reported, but the estimated restoration time is 8:20 p.m.
The power outage affects customers surrounding the state line in Nevada and South Lake Tahoe. The location of the outages normally points to a Nevada power substation issue as Liberty receives its power in that area from NV Energy.
