SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Do you have a creative kid who loves to bake, build, or decorate? The 2nd annual Lake Tahoe Gingerbread House Competition is open for registration, and organizers are especially looking to welcome more youth entries this year.
This festive community tradition is part of the Festival of Winter Lights. It offers a fun, low-pressure way for kids to showcase their imagination and be part of the holiday magic.
The contest is sponsored by the City of South Lake Tahoe.
Youth Category (Free to Enter):
• Winners receive a trophy and a professional baking kit
• All creations are displayed at the Festival of Winter Lights
• Entries are also included on the Gingerbread House Crawl map and will be placed at the Recreation Center for all to see throughout December.
Adult Category:
Spaces remain open for adults as well, with cash prizes up to $1,000.
