SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Ski Run Community Park in South Lake Tahoe sits at the base of Heavenly and is in the middle of the Ski Run neighborhood where hundreds of children live.

The ground was broken on the park in May, and plans have been firmed up since then.

Four families came together to purchase a vacant lot on Ski Run Blvd. from the Safeway Corporation – Chris and Viktoria McNamara, Corey and Marina Rich, Galena and Lincoln Else, and Lauren and Wynn Ruju. They then gifted the property to the City of South Lake Tahoe for the park.

Over 35 kids in the neighborhood sketched ideas for their dream park. Their designs were creative, imaginative, and most of all, signifying the need for a place to play.

But more financial help is needed, especially for the custom bouldering rock wall.

This season, give the gift of play and your contribution will go twice as far. The Tahoe Fund is doubling donations for Ski Run Community Park until they reach their $100,000 match.
