SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – No, all of South Lake Tahoe will not be going without power during planned outages for 24 hours this week. What Liberty will do is have several spot outages during the week, but those customers have all been notified if affected.
Social media was abuzz on Saturday when a post was created that shared a list of planned outages for Lake Tahoe, with many along the South Shore.
They have normally noticed outages when working on projects and in certain areas, all posted on their website along with personal notifications. Liberty reminds customers to make sure their contact information is up to date.
‘Work done during planned outages is to improve/update infrastructure and increase system reliability or make needed repairs. Customers affected by planned outages will receive notification via text, email, and/or voice messages approximately 48 hours prior to the planned outage,” states the Liberty website.
