
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There is a cold front heading to the region, bringing some brisk winds and chilly weather Sunday night through Tuesday. It will be quick though as warmer temperatures are expected for the latter half of the week with highs in the 50s at Lake Tahoe.
There is finally a chance for an unsettled weather pattern on Thursday and into the weekend, with light showers possible along with gusty winds and mountain snow.
The weekly forecast for South Lake Tahoe from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Monday – Sunny, with a high near 40. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the morning.
Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 16. East wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday – Sunny, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.
Tuesday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph after midnight.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Calm wind.
Wednesday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Thursday – A slight chance of snow between 10 am and 1 pm, then a slight chance of rain after 1 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.
