Lake Tahoe Markets is proud to introduce premium meats from Park Ranch, a family-owned livestock ranch rooted in Minden, Nevada, since 1861. For more than 160 years, Park Ranch has stood as a cornerstone of northern Nevada and east-central California, raising cattle with care and delivering beef that embodies tradition, quality, and flavor.

Park Ranch is more than a ranch—it’s a legacy. For generations, it has been a trusted partner for cattle owners seeking harvesting and processing resources, and a reliable source for families who value wholesome, flavorful beef. Every cut reflects the craftsmanship and dedication passed down through time, ensuring meals that nourish and bring people together.

In today’s fast-paced world, Park Ranch believes in keeping things simple. To them, simplicity means knowing where your food comes from, trusting its quality, and savoring meals rooted in honesty and tradition. Feeding your family shouldn’t be complicated—it should be delicious, dependable, and true.

By bringing Park Ranch products to Lake Tahoe Markets, we’re excited to share ranch-to-table excellence with our community: beef that is simple, uncompromising, and always exceptional.

Thai Basil Beef

A vibrant Thai beef basil stir-fry, ready in minutes, with savory depth and a gentle kick of spice.

1 Tbsp. chili paste

2 Tbsp. soy sauce

1 Tbsp. fish sauce

1 Tbsp. brown sugar

2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

1 lb. ground beef

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves

White rice, for serving

Fresh cilantro, for serving

In a small bowl, whisk together the chili paste, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and lime juice until incorporated. Set aside.  In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is glistening, add the ground beef and cook, breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon, until browned, 8 to 10 minutes.  Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the beef and cook until the vegetables start to soften, about 5 minutes.  Pour the sauce into the skillet. Add the fresh basil (reserving a few fresh leaves for garnish) and continue to cook, stirring, until the basil starts to wilt, about 2 minutes.  Serve the beef and basil over the rice, topped with the reserved basil leaves and cilantro.
