SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Looking for a way to be a part of giving back to students? Join the El Dorado Community Foundation (EDCF) Scholarship Giving Circle. Now in their third year, the giving circle puts 100 percent of funds collected into scholarships to high school seniors who are pursuing higher education next fall.

This giving circle scholarship is for each of the following El Dorado County high schools (and you can choose which high school scholarship your funds are designated for):

  • El Dorado High School
  • Golden Sierra High School
  • Ponderosa High School
  • Oak Ridge High School
  • South Tahoe High School
  • Union Mine High School

To date, the giving circle has given out over $27,000 in scholarships over the first two years, and has already collected $13,000 for this coming graduating class. Help them reach their goal of $20,000 for the 25-26 seniors.

You can become a member of this new giving circle for $40 or more, and 100% of your donation will go towards a new scholarship at the El Dorado County high school of your choice. Just click on this link or scan the QR code below to join this giving circle by Dec. 31, 2025, to support a 25-26 graduating senior. Your membership allows you to vote on how the funds are allocated for the scholarships (minimum scholarship amount will be $1000). They have collected more than $1000 for each school already, and we will continue to collect memberships through Dec. 31, 2025, and then allocate all the dollars back to scholarships for the designated schools…a great way to be part of a scholarship to help students pursue their educational dreams.

Join today and become a part of something bigger than yourself!
