SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The 4th annual Wreaths Across America ceremony was held at Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, December 17.
South Lake Tahoe’s Wreaths Across America event was sponsored by the Lake Tahoe Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The event honors current military personnel, fallen U.S. veterans, and first responders across the country. In South Lake Tahoe, wreaths were placed at the cemetery’s Memorial Wall.
The South Lake Tahoe wreath ceremony was one of over 2,300 ceremonies held at national cemeteries, state veterans’ cemeteries, veterans’ monuments, local cemeteries, and ships at sea nationwide.
The mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember, honor, and teach by remembering the sacrifices of our veterans.
