DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. –  Friends In Service Helping (FISH) will be accepting donations to support those affected by the December 19 structure fire in the Gardnerville Ranchos. The wind-driven fire swept through duplexes in the Gardnerville Ranchos, destroying at least 10 units and displacing multiple residents.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

FISH will be accepting food, toiletries, clothing, and monetary donations.
Please note: Used beds, bedding, large furniture, and used undergarments cannot be accepted at this location.

Individuals affected by the fire were able to visit the FISH store on Saturday to receive clothing and supplies to help get through the weekend. Until FISH reopens on Monday, the Douglas County Community & Senior Center will also be accepting food, clothing, and toiletry donations on FISH’s behalf. Donations can be dropped off at the back of the Community Center near the roundabout.

FISH may ask for identification or verification to ensure assistance is provided to those directly impacted.

Please note: Monetary donations cannot be accepted at the Community Center. However, gift cards may be dropped off at the Community Center front counter through the weekend to assist those impacted by the fire.
