SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The storm that brought several feet of snow to Lake Tahoe ski resorts is making its way out of the area, with forecasted snow expected to end Friday by 4 p.m.

Traffic was being held at Meyers due to several spinouts on Echo Summit. At 12:06 p.m. Friday, the hold was released.

As of noon, chains or AWD with snow tires are required on all roads except for the following closures: SR89 at Emerald Bay, SR237, SR88 at the Carson Spur, and SR431.
