SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Nine young women from the south shore were honored by the Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe (SISLT) club during a luncheon on Wednesday.

They earned the “Young Women of Distinction” award for their exceptional academic achievements, leadership abilities, and community service.

From South Tahoe High School: Carissa Buchholz, Kayla Mason, Tyler Pevenage, Brenda Santana, and Sadie Waldie.

From Whittell High School: Aylin Aguilar, Faith Galli, Sarah Gonzales, and Trinity Kirvida-McGowan.
