SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – El Dorado County health officials have announced seven new confirmed cases, six in the Lake Tahoe region and one in El Dorado Hills. The totals only increased by five as two previously identified cases were transferred to other counties today. They were previously counted in the Cameron Park/Shingle Sperings area.

Of the new cases, one is under the age of 18, four are aged 18-49 and two aged 50-64. Six are female, one male.

An additional 84 tests were administered.

One less person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 is in the ICU, one total, with two suspected cases in the ICU.

There have been 26 estimated recoveries leaving 204 active cases county-wise.

One person to-date has died from the virus, a South Lake Tahoe man.

Quad-Counties – Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individual was a male Lyon County resident in his 80’s. It is unknown at this time if he had underlying conditions. CCHHS is also reporting thirteen new positive cases and elven additional recoveries. This brings the total number of cases to 567, with 430 recoveries and 10 deaths, 127 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• An adult female Douglas County resident in her teens with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Lyon County resident in his 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 60’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 30’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Lyon County resident in his 20’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 60’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 70’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident under the age of 18 with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 50’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 70’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

The Regional Information Center is reporting 109 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in Washoe County since yesterday.

There have been 28 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since yesterday.

Lake Tahoe area cases – Ten are in Tahoe City, 45 in Kings Beach, six in Olympic Village, 14 in Truckee.

Their seven-day test rate is 7.6 percent positive, and 14-day case rate is 114.2 per 100,000.
