SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – When the new City Council assembled after the November election it was decided that some meetings in 2021 would be held in the evening. The first of those will be Tuesday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m.

As is the norm through the pandemic and until large groups can safely gather, this meeting will be held virtually. The agenda and log-in instructions can be found in both English and Spanish on the City’s website.

Tuesday’s agenda includes the following:

A presentation will be made on the Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery, a joint project to improve the site by the City, Daughter’s of the American Revolution, Lake Tahoe Historical Society, the California Tahoe Conservancy, and Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra.

A second reading on an updated ordinance that will prohibit the use of public docks for commercial activity.

A possible vote on the use of general funds to support a traffic analysis of the City’s Proposed Alternative Alignment of U.S. 50.

A vote on awarding the concessionaire agreement to Tessie’s BBQ & Beach Bites, one of three applicates vying for the food and beverage services at Lakeview Commons. Their proposal was the only one receiving passing scores on all required criterion and is the most qualified bidder according to City staff.

Voting to authorize and direct the Mayor to execute a Professional Services Agreement with SierraCon Inc. in an amount not to exceed $791,243 for construction management services for the City’s new multi-generational recreation and
aquatics facility project.

The annual mid-year budget review that provides the City Council an opportunity to review the General Fund and other funds, adjust amounts in order to achieve a more accurate budget for the current fiscal year and help shape the development of next year’s budget.
