SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There will be a more active pattern over the next week as monsoonal moisture streams into the region. Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of gusty outflow winds, and lightning, with possible heavy rain. Temperatures will cool a bit but it will feel more humid, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

Monday – Scattered showers before 8 am, then scattered showers and thunderstorms between 8 am and 11 am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11 am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 75. South wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
