Cooler temperatures with a 30% chance of rain and snow showers are in the South Lake Tahoe forecast this week. A small amount (under one inch) of snow is expected at lake level on Wednesday with up to a couple of inches due at higher elevations according to the National Weather Report.
The weather system is a quick one as sunny and clear skies with a forecast of 61 degrees on Tuesday and 51 degrees on Thursday.
Weekend weather in South Lake Tahoe will be fall like with highs near 60s.
