The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors revised the salaries of elected officials for terms beginning in January 2015 or thereafter at their November 18 special meeting.
The elected officials will no longer be eligible for three costly special pay/pay differentials:
- Certified Public Accountant differential
- Longevity Pay
- 4.6% Special Pay currently provided to elected office holders in lieu of management leave
In other action, Supervisor Norma Santiago, who represents the county residents at Lake Tahoe, motioned to remove the automatic increase to salaries of the Board members. She was joined by 3 other Supervisors in directing staff to create a new ordinance to reflect this change. Supervisor Mike Mikulaco was the lone member opposed. He represents the El Dorado Hills area of the county.
