
The Lake of the Sky Amphitheater evening programs at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center begin July 11, 2014, and continue every Friday evening through August.
The series kicks off Friday, July 11, with “An Evening with Mark Twain” featuring McAvoy Layne performing as Mark Twain live on stage at 7 p.m.
Programs include: “Winged Flight at Night” on July 18 at 8:30 p.m. and August 29 at 8 p.m.; “Wild Things” on July 25 and August 15 at 7 p.m.; “Snowshoe Thompson” on August 1 at 7 p.m.; “A 50th Year Wilderness Celebration” on August 8 at 8 p.m.; “Birds of the Sierra Nevada” on August 22 at 8 p.m.; and an encore presentation of “An Evening with Mark Twain” on Saturday, August 23 at 7 p.m.
These programs are sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service and the Tahoe Heritage Foundation. The Tahoe Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with the Forest Service to conduct interpretive and conservation education programs in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The Tahoe Heritage Foundation encourages a $5 donation, per person for these programs.
