SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Arts Project will be bringing magician Alex Ramon to local schools during the week of Feb. 3-7 which will be followed by a free public performance at Harveys at 7 p.m. Free tickets can be found at https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/alex-ramon-public-show – only 200 tickers are available.
Tahoe Arts Project (TAP) was established in 1987 by a group of parents, professional musicians and teachers to bring performing arts and cultural enrichment to schools in the South Lake Tahoe region in both California and Nevada.
TAP’s artists-in-schools programs meet the need for high quality performing arts activities that are lacking in individual schools. TAP reaches over 5,000 TK-12th grade students, within eight schools in El Dorado, Douglas, and Alpine counties.
Artists also perform a public show for the community to enjoy. Programs include acclaimed performing artists from various genres and cultures and TAP has been nationally recognized as a role model for other arts-in-education organizations.
Current research validates TAP’s philosophy that these experiences help students develop their own creative and problem solving abilities, foster intellectual development and success in all academic areas.
The next artist group TAP is bringing to South Lake Tahoe will be Backhausdance. School performances are March 24-28, with a free public performance on March 289.
