DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – The suspect in the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in Gardnerville was arrested Friday morning after a short vehicle pursuit in Mineral County.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of Kingslane Court in Gardnerville at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Upon arrival, deputies found Charles Edward Wilkinson of Minden dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The investigation determined that there was probable cause to believe that Gary Allen Dillishaw, a 25-year-old male from Carson City, killed Wilkinson. Dillishaw had fled the scene in a white 2009 Honda Acura and was considered armed and dangerous.
At approximately 6:15 a.m., on Friday, February 14, Mineral County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Dillishaw after a short vehicle pursuit. Dillishaw is being booked into the Mineral County Jail in Hawthorne on the Douglas County murder charge.
