The 2025 YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda delivered an electrifying conclusion to the Freeride World Tour season, as the world’s best freeriders tackled the legendary Bec des Rosses in pursuit of victory and FWT Champion titles. Victor de Le Rue (FRA) made history by securing his fourth overall title, while Noémie Equy (FRA) dominated her rookie season with a statement win. Jenna Keller (SUI) and Wei Tien Ho (CAN) celebrated milestone victories, taking their first-ever FWT wins in a competition that pushed the limits of big-mountain freeriding. Meanwhile, Justine Dufour-Lapointe (CAN) and Marcus Goguen (CAN) clinched the season’s top honors, solidifying their names among freeride’s elite. With high-stakes performances, daring lines, and unforgettable moments, the 2025 YETI Xtreme Verbier by Honda once again proved why it is the ultimate test of freeride excellence.
USA Round-Up:
Ross Tester (Ski Men) of Palisades Tahoe and Toby Rafford (Ski Men) found the Xtreme Verbier Podium as Rafford took the Third Overall and Rookie of the Year title. Tester charged into second place, putting down a fast and aggressive run with a cleanly stomped 360 and calculated line choices (76.67 pts), earning his second podium of the season and a 6th place finish overall after taking a year off the tour. While the official announcement is still to come, Thursday’s results put Tester and Rafford one step closer to qualifying for the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships (Andorra, 2026), part of freeride’s path to becoming an Olympic sport by 2030,
“I need to make sure I’m healthy and doing well in these competitions still because the next generation is so good, so I have to keep my game up, of course. That was a big reason I came back and decided to get back into this because the Olympics is kind of the dream,” said Tester.
For Ski Women, South Lake Tahoe’s Molly Armanino (USA) kicked off her run in style with massive air and her trademark technical turns. Navigating tricky snow conditions, she ultimately fell to the Bec, missing her landing on a tricky cliff drop (0.65 pts). Armanino finished fifth overall this season after taking fourth in the Xtreme Verbier today and a win in the Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro earlier this season. Palisades Tahoe’s Lily Bradley (USA) came into the finals on the heels of a win in the Fieberbrunn Pro. Always pushing the limits, Bradley brought the energy but landed just short on a backflip (NS). Her daring approach continues to make a statement about what’s to come in 2026.
