SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The victim in last week’s fatal DUI crash was a longtime South Lake Tahoe local, a graduate of South Tahoe High School, and a young father. A fundraiser has been set up to help the family of Brian Vazquez Gonzalez. He leaves behind his partner Karla Rea, and their daughter, Kataleya Vazquez Rea, father, Jose Alonso Vazquez Otero, mother, Martha Gonzalez and brother, Richard Vazquez.
Brian was an amazing partner and father is dearly loved by his family and community.
Karla and Katy were both injured in the crash near Glenbrook when the car they were in was hit by a drunk driver who crossed into their lane on US50. Both are recovering from their injuries.
