LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. – The Tahoe Chamber and South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce invite the community to an essential Fire Forum on April 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the TADA Building at South Tahoe High School.

This free community event will feature a panel of fire chiefs from the Tahoe Fire and Fuels Team, providing crucial information on wildfire preparedness, evacuation routes, and key lessons learned from the Palisades Fire.

Residents and business owners will have the opportunity to engage directly with fire officials, land managers, and water purveyors at informational booths, ensuring access to the latest updates on wildfire safety, defensible space, and emergency planning.

“The idea of ‘Fire Season’ is no longer an accurate mindset.  We need to be vigilant 12 months out of the year.  Clearly, the LA fires have stoked concern here locally, and I, along with most Chiefs around the area, have been answering questions from the public on a daily basis,” said Jim Drennan, Fire Chief of South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue.

The event will feature:
Expert panel discussion from 6 -7:30 pm with local Fire Chiefs from the Tahoe Fire and Fuels Team.

Information about fire preparedness, evacuation routes, and lessons learned from the Palisades Fire.

Live moderated Q&A session with our local fire safety experts.

Informational booths with local land managers and water purveyors.

Don’t miss this chance to empower yourself with the knowledge and resources to keep your family and community safe.
