SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – In typical Lake Tahoe spring fashion, the winter is having trouble letting go. After this past weekend, there is another chance of snow this coming weekend.
Afternoon highs will rise back up closer to late April averages (mid-50s) by Monday afternoon, with another 4-8 degrees of warming for Tuesday. Dry conditions will prevail for the beginning of the week, with another system bringing a chance of showers on Wednesday before a more organized Pacific storm approaches the west coast. Temperatures will reach their warmest levels by late week with highs into the mid-upper 70s for lower elevations and 60s for Sierra communities, and increasing SW winds Friday.
Then, the pleasantries end as another colder upper low moves across the region. This storm may be similar to the one this past weekend, with dropping temperatures, scattered showers, possible thunder, and snow.
