SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Clean Up The Lake is holding its inaugural Polar Plunge on Saturday, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lakeside Beach in South Lake Tahoe. Dive into a morning of chilly fun and bold community action—all in support of the nonprofit’s diver-powered mission to remove litter from Lake Tahoe and surrounding alpine lakes.
The first 50 participants to register will receive a free custom beach towel from SLOWTIDE, made from 100 percent recycled post-consumer materials and embroidered to commemorate the “Inaugural Clean Up The Lake Polar Plunge”. Space is limited—they will be capping the plunge at 75 registrants for safety reasons. But don’t worry, your friends and family are welcome to come watch the fun and cheer you on at the beach while you take the plunge!
Best of all, participation helps them reach a $40,000 fundraising goal. They have already secured a $15,000 matching donation from an incredible anonymous supporter, plus $5,000 in additional matching funds from Lake Tahoe Community College—bringing us to $20,000 in matching dollars ready to double your impact.
