“Free for All: The Public Library”

The South Lake Tahoe Friends of the Library is hosting a free showing of the documentary “Free for All: The Public Library” on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p,m, at the South Lake Tahoe Library.
The documentary explores the history and impact of public libraries in the United States. The event will include a few activities prior to the screening and a panel discussion after. The Friends of the Library hopes to raise awareness about the importance of public libraries and the unique role they play in communities.
The event is free and open to the public. The library is located at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
