SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There are two Lake Wind Advisories in place for South Lake Tahoe, one wraps up on Sunday at 11 p.m., and the next one is on Monday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno says to expect west winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and wave heights of 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.

Temperatures will drop a few degrees with the wind, and then a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms arrives midweek.

Sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
