SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The public is invited to provide input on the housing situation in Tahoe with a workshop in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, July 22 and North Shore on Wednesday, July 23.

Join the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) for a hands-on workshop to shape the future of housing in the Lake Tahoe Region. Your input will inform the Tahoe Living: Cultivating Community, Conserving the Basin Initiative — a regional effort to make housing more affordable and improve environmental protections. What would you like to see in our Tahoe neighborhoods in terms of housing and community in the future?  Now is your chance for your voice to be heard!

Cultivating Community, Conserving the Basin is a multi-year project to help address the crisis of affordability happening in the Tahoe Region and in mountain communities across the nation.

The Lake Tahoe workshops will include interactive activities to get your input on how much, where, and what types of housing should be built in the future, and other key policy topics such as development rights, land coverage, and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).

Both workshops will include Spanish interpretation and activities for children, and free dinner.

July 22 at Bijou School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 3501 Spruce Ave., South Lake Tahoe. Free dinner served by Los Mexicanos – no need to worry about cooking at home! Register HERE. Translation services will be provided.
