SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Hi everyone —
I’m Leon Abravanel, born and raised right here in South Lake Tahoe. Over the years, I’ve seen a lot change around the lake, but one thing that’s always stood out to me is how this community shows up for each other — whether it’s through farmers’ markets, local music, nonprofits, or just neighbors lending a hand when it counts.
That spirit is exactly what inspired me, along with some good people, to create Tahoe Together, a local clothing and community brand focused on celebrating and supporting the people and organizations that keep Tahoe strong. We design gear people actually want to wear, and we partner with nonprofits to make sure proceeds go right back into the community.
I’m excited to bring that same mission to South Tahoe Now, with this new series: Tahoe Together. We’ll be highlighting the people, businesses, and events that are making a difference — big or small — and reminding us what makes this place so unique, resilient, and connected.
We’ll publish these stories as they come up — no fixed schedule, just when there’s someone or something worth sharing. And that’s where you come in:
If you know an event, organization, business, or person who’s bringing Tahoe together — now or in the future — I’d love to hear about it. Send me an email at team@tahoetogether.com, and I’ll do my best to help share their story.
Thanks for reading, and for all the ways you already make Tahoe what it is.
