LAKE TAHOE, Calif. –  Caltrans is advising motorists of various lane closures next week due to multiple construction projects in the Lake Tahoe region.

Along State Route 28 (SR 28) in Placer County, drainage and electrical work continue in preparation for a $31.7 million Caltrans pavement project. Work is scheduled along both directions of SR 28 Sunday, July 27 through Friday, August 1 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. between Anderson Road in Tahoe Vista and Fox Street in Kings Beach.

In Tahoe City along SR 28, work is scheduled Sunday, July 27 through Thursday, July 31 from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. between Commons Beach Road and Jackpine Street. Work is also scheduled Monday, July 28, through Wednesday, July 30, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. between Mackinaw Road and Jackpine Street.

The paving portion of this project in Tahoe City is scheduled to begin Sunday evening, August 10. Specific locations will be announced the week prior.

Along State Route 89 in Placer County, work continues for the West Shore Bike Trail Rehabilitation Project. One-way traffic control will be in effect Sunday, July 27 through Thursday, July 31 from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. between Sequoia Avenue – South and Ward Avenue.

Construction of a new roundabout at U.S. Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail in Meyers continues, with work scheduled from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 27, through Friday, August 1 at 10 a.m. No work is scheduled each day between 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
