
The warm weather has been a welcome relief from a long, wet winter, but the dry and sunny days are gone from the from the forecast for at least a week. The National Weather Service says to expect showers, thunderstorms and even snow (sorry) as unsettled weather passes through the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Today – Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight – Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Friday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Saturday – A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. High near 48. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Saturday Night – – Rain showers before 11pm, then rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Sunday – Rain and snow showers likely, mainly before 11am. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
