SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Tahoe High School (STHS) had four runners representing the school at the NIAA 3A Cross Country State Championships at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, two from each of the boys and the girls teams.
Lyla Landy took second place with her time of 19:57, followed by a fifth-place finish by Madelyn Landy with her 20:53.
Shamus Nealis finished fourth with his time of 16:41. Max Vadnais came in at 13th with a time of 17:59.
Kiefer Willcox from Tahoe Truckee finished first with a time of 15:48. Their boys’ cross country team took top honors at state. It was Tahoe Truckee again for the girls’ team, led by the new State Champion, Autumn Burks, with a time of 19:18
