UPDATE MONDAY: The suspected driver in Sunday’s hit-and-run has been arrested. Brittanie Lane, 35, was found at a home on Spruce Avenue and arrested on charges of felony hit-and-run and contempt of court. Her bail has been set at $52,000.
According to SLTPD Lt. Scott Crivelli, the victim was attempting to get his belongings from Lane’s vehicle after a disagreement. The car had been stopped, but the driver pulled away while the victim was still removing his items from her vehicle. The car door hit the 64-year-old male victim, and he was injured. He has since been released from the hospital.
The incident has felony charges involved since there was an injury.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) is investigating a hit-and-run collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle that occurred Sunday. December 7 at approximately 6:15 p.m.
SLTPD said a 64-year-old male was walking near Julie Lane and Gardner Street when he was hit by a vehicle. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Barton Hospital.
The driver is known to the victim. A “be on the lookout” call went out to other agencies, but as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the driver had not been located.
SLTPD is investigating how the two people know each other and what incidents led up to the victim being hit by a car. The name of the suspect or suspect’s vehicle is not being released at this time.
