SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Since 1996, the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs has raised money for families in need through its annual Reno Toy Run and other fundraising efforts. In December 2025, they raised $100,000 to distribute to hundreds of families facing an uncertain Christmas.
Part of those funds made their way to South Lake Tahoe to help support Christmas Cheer. A check for $5,000 was presented to the nonprofit on Friday.
Christmas Cheer Executive Director Amber Cullen said the nonprofit helped a record number of families (908) over the past holiday season, and said they appreciate the donation. She was at the check presentation with her daughters, Amara and Aurora, and they were joined by Christmas Cheer board members Howie Nave and Doug Williams. Representing the Brotherhood were Charley Kight and Kenny Curtzwiler.
Reno Toy Run chairman Troy Regas said he has witnessed rapid growth in the amount of money they can donate.
“We are realistic about this; we may not be able to fix everything, but we bring hope to our community,” said Regas. “That is the real meaning of Christmas – HOPE. We are all neighbors, we are one community, and with the help of our partners, we did not sit by and think there is nothing we can do about it. This year, the Reno Toy Run
raised over $100K and was able to give a $5,000 check to Christmas Cheer. These major sponsors have been helping our communities since 1996. On behalf of the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs, The Reno Toy Run, and The Brotherhood Motorcycle Club. We are proud to present this $5,000.00 check, signed by Santa
Claus himself, to Christmas Cheer All Year & Love Your Neighbor.”
