LAKE TAHOE, Calif. /Nev. – Prescribed fire operations continue this week in the Lake Tahoe Basin and will continue as long as conditions allow.
Here are this week’s scheduled prescribed burns:
2/9 – 2/12 – Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit – Total of 26 acres of pile burning near Luther Pass, north of Grass Lake
2/9 – 2/13 – Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District – 3 acres of piles near Daggett Summit on Kingsbury Grade. 16 acres of piles near Van Sickle Bi-State Park in Stateline, Nev.
2/10 – 2/13 – Nevada Division of Forestry – 5 acres of piles along the Tunnel Creek Road in the Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park
2/11 – 2/12 – California Tahoe Conservancy – 24 acres of piles to be burned near Sudan Road and Agate Road in Carnelian Bay
